Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. The role she played earned her an Emmy nod for the Best Supporting Actress category. In addition, she was awarded two SAG Awards, both for extraordinary performances on the cast of a comedy.
The girl was born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she spent most of her childhood living in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna's mom Anne often performed in church plays in her younger years which sparked an enthusiasm for theatre.
She's a trained actress who returned to the stage after The Office. The Off-Broadway production Reasons for Being Happy was written and directed by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. Following her appearance in Steve Martin's latest production Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy co-written by Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg), she was then invited to appear in the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
Angela Kinsey from The Office (the co-star of Fischer) as well as her real life best friend, Angela Kinsey from The Office, started a podcast in October, called Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and is now in the Top Ten every single week. In its debut year, the show received over 200 million downloads. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Years award in January of 2021.
She's written two books: The Actor's Life A Survival Guide in which she describes her experience in Hollywood acting as a professional as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends that Were There a memoir of the best friendship they had and their experiences on The Office.
