Laura Linney was one of the most renowned American actors to emerge from the past. Her strong and vulnerable roles have made her a household brand. While spending her time at the house of her father her interest grew in theater. While in Brown University for a while and then later, she attended Juilliard School to study acting. Within a mere two months after graduating she began her Broadway-based career. Following that, she made her debut in TV and film. Over the past few years she has appeared in a variety of film, TV and stage plays. She's been nominated for three Tony Awards, three Academy Awards, five Awards, and four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), and has won numerous awards throughout her career. Although she received many awards throughout her career, theatre was always her primary passion.
