April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started with guitar and piano in 7th grade which sparked curiosity. In April, when she was 12 years old when she wrote her first single, Different. When she was 14 April spent a lot of her time creating song concepts and practicing her musical skills. Soon, April began going across NY and LA with her Dad to help them write songs. April featured other topics in her song"Take my Hand. These topics were meant for the friends of hers who struggled with issues such as peer pressure and disabilities, or even teenage suicidal thinking. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle blogger and being a partner with clean beauty brands Ilia she has gained her own following. As a woman born with no left hand, the woman is a major part of her. It's however not the only thing she has to tell. Lockhart's profile on Instagram doesn't hide her disability but doesn't focus solely on her disability. It's a message. We are all more than just our physical self. Our identities are multifaceted and encompass a variety of elements. Lockhart tells Lockhart via video "I don't think that should define me. It's not my intention to be an influencer on disability, because I've so much more to offer." It doesn't impact my daily life. I go about the same way as I always do and have developed my own methods to adjust. However, I also consider it a very important aspect of me. Lockhart's self-acceptance journey will be one that lasts an entire lifetime. She has been a source of inspiration for this purpose. However, she admits having moments that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance, and the clothes that showed her arms. She is able to wear anything she likes, and proudly shares photos of her in these outfits. Self-love, according to her, is a process. "I do not think that you will ever be there," she said.
