Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born on November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to receive a score of 10 in an Olympic contest. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics trainer who later became her coach later in life she discovered her when she was six. She first competed at the championships for juniors from Romania in the year 1969, she finished 13th. In 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. In 1972, at an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes before the Olympics she was awarded three medals of gold. After that, in 1973 and 1974 she won the overall junior champion. In her first international competition as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion, winning four gold medals as well as one silver. She became the first female to perform a reverse double salo with the parallel bar that was uneven after winning the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Carol Wayne's journey in the world of entertainment began when she was a teenager. Together with her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol ventured into the entertainment industry in her teens. As a young girl, she began performing as a figure skating performer with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
